Retrolink usb controller shows unknown device in device manager. Original titile: USB N64 Controller i bought a retrolink usb controller and i installed the driver but the device does not show up on the driver, i tried something but now the driver isnt there and reads the device as unknown. The adapter: Standard SNES controllers supported (all regions) NTT Data controller supported (all 23 buttons) SNES mouse supported (enable mouse mode, use firmware 2.2.0) 100% functional without installing special drivers. (Connects as an USB HID joystick) Works under Linux, Mac OS X and Windows. Updateable firmware. The setup in Windows was dirt simple - drivers installed automatically, was ready to use in moments. After all that, installed the retrolink drivers Jan 30, 2014 2 Pack SAFFUN SNES Retro USB Controller Gamepad Joystick, USB PC Super Classic Controller Joypad Gamestick for Windows PC MAC Linux Raspberry Pi 3.

Gtron Snes Usb Controller Driver
i am semi-new to emulation, but here is as much info as i know
i have tried 3 different emulators:
zsnesw
Snes9XW_SE2_PPRO
snes9x
i bought 2 SNES controllers on eBay (first one, didn't work, so i tried another)
the first was an original controller, still in the box, made in 1997 (Nintendo logo on pad)
the second is from innovation (cannot find production date on it)
when i go to assign buttons to the pads in all emulators it will not work. the B button is the only one that even produces a response but all it does is randomly assign keys to various buttons. quite confusing. i don't understand it because i bought a USB NES controller to use for original NES games and have had no problems, worked first time, no drivers required.
i am not sure what the adapter im using is called but this is what it looks like

also, yes the controllers do register in my device manager as a HID game controller
any help is appreciated! thanks
